Frequently Asked Questions
-
The cost of a bathroom or basement renovation in Ottawa depends on the size of the space, the materials and finishes you choose, and whether any layout or structural changes are involved. A bathroom renovation can range from a simpler refresh with new fixtures and tile to a full gut renovation with a custom walk-in shower, heated floors, and a floating vanity. A basement renovation cost depends on square footage, whether a basement bathroom addition is included, and the level of finishing required for flooring, drywall, and electrical work. Clairmont Construction provides a free in-home consultation for every Ottawa homeowner, followed by a transparent, itemized quote — so you know exactly what your bathroom or basement renovation will cost before any work begins, with no surprise costs along the way.
-
Renovation timelines vary based on the size and complexity of the project. A bathroom renovation in Ottawa typically takes longer when plumbing fixtures are being relocated, custom tile work is involved, or a full gut renovation is required. A basement renovation timeline depends on square footage, whether a basement bathroom addition or wet bar is part of the scope, and how much electrical and framing work is needed. During your consultation, Clairmont Construction provides a clear, realistic project timeline as part of your itemized quote, so you know what to expect from start to finish.
-
Yes. Clairmont Construction is fully licensed and insured, with $2M in liability coverage on every bathroom and basement renovation project we take on across Ottawa and the surrounding area. Licensing and insurance matter for any renovation project, since they protect your home and your investment if anything unexpected happens during construction. We also coordinate all electrical and plumbing work through licensed trade partners, ensuring every part of your Ottawa renovation meets Ontario building code requirements.
